The Pinakoteka Breeding (FCI) was established with the intention of preserving useful traits and nurturing cooperation with humans. We prioritize health, development, sports, and work.
We are looking for ambitious homes that are open to new possibilities and active.
Our dogs live with us in the house, go on interesting walks, participate in training, sports activities, and are full-fledged family members whom we care for like children.
Here, you won't get a kennel dog bred only for appearance; the miniature American shepherd is a herding breed, quick to learn, and enjoys working with humans. We want to breed dogs so that these traits are not lost in the modern breeding world.
We do not select dogs solely based on color or immediately after birth; each dog is unique, with its own personality traits, strengths, and predispositions. Here, you acquire a friend for its entire life, and choosing a puppy for the home is a crucial element.
Below we present the activities that we develop ourselves.
Nosework
and agility
Dog shows
Herding
and obedience
Obedience can be broadly understood, from the basic rules in the home to competition losses in obedience.
We want to maintain balance and it is important for us that the dog feels safe with us, has a good relationship with us, and can function in various conditions.
Currently, we are focusing on companion dog activities and rally obedience, which is a lighter form than obedience that satisfies us more.

The Miniature American Shepherd is a breed that should possess herding instincts. To maintain the breed's characteristics, it is also necessary to select dogs based on their functional breed traits; therefore, our breeding plan also includes preserving these essential traits for the breed so that they do not lose what they were created for over generations.

Detecting scent molecules and finding their source used to be the specialty of service dogs, but today it is a rapidly growing activity that allows for "tiring out a dog's mind," building confidence, making independent decisions, and strengthening the bond with their handler.
Nosework is for everyone and is a great activity for both puppies and older dogs.

Exhibitions are a very important breeding element because the breed must preserve its characteristics not only mentally but also physically, and by evaluating our dogs, we can effectively make adjustments to our breeding plans to improve the breed not only in our country but also throughout Europe.
Responsible breeding means improving the stock and continuous work and refinement. The greatest enemy of a breeder in this aspect can be a lack of ambition and breeding blindness, which prevents an objective view of one's dog and recognizing its flaws that need to be addressed in subsequent generations.
We realize that breeding is very challenging work, and that is why we work very hard on ourselves and our knowledge; we participate in many training sessions to continually raise the level of breeding that we can offer.
Exhibitions are not our priority, however, they are a very important breeding aspect, and we do not intend to neglect it, so we appear at exhibitions where we can count on a professional assessment by a judge.

Miniature American Shepherds can excel in the canine sport of agility. Currently, not many dogs of this breed participate in competitions and training, but we hope that will change in the future, so we aim to promote this type of activity among guardians and cheer on every one of our puppies that joins a sport home.

Agility
No, you don't have to have an immediate "plan for the dog"; it may happen that there will be a "lazy one" in the litter, and then such a dog can go to someone who doesn't have specific plans and doesn't need a dog with strong drives or a very active one. We don't rule anyone out from the start; it's worth calmly considering how we see the dog in our home, how we will meet its needs, and what we can offer it. Honesty is the foundation of our relationships.
Great that you know what you want. Fill out the questionnaire according to what you feel and what you are looking for, and we will contact you for a conversation or meeting to discuss all the details. The more clearly you define who you are and what you are looking for, the better we will be able to verify the puppies in relation to you as a future owner and more as a friend. Don't hesitate to talk about your concerns, experiences, and impressions; we are here to dispel any doubts and guide you towards fulfilling your dreams. It may happen that the puppy you are looking for has not been born yet; in that case, we can keep your questionnaire and will inform you when new breeding plans arise to check the relevance of your search and the content of the questionnaire. We appreciate patient people and do not forget about them.
