PInAKOTEKA

ABOUT US/ OUR PSY

PInAKOTEKA

We run an intimate, home-based breeding program; our dogs are full-fledged members of our family, living with us, traveling, and accompanying us daily. We do not run a kennel breeding operation and never will, as this type of breeding does not meet our standards.

Our passion and commitment make our breeding unique and of high quality. We are constantly training and developing to ensure our dogs are happy.

We invite you to explore the world of our joyful pups and to join our MAS family!

The breeding of miniature American shepherds Pinakoteka is your good choice if you are looking for an active dog from health-tested parents with potential predispositions for sports and work.

Love and Partnership

In our breeding, we love our dogs; they are members of our family. We train them using positive methods and remember that dogs, being a different species, have their own needs.

Care for Health

Health is the most important element of a dog's life, and with this thought in mind, we offer puppies only from thoroughly tested dogs, which allows us to prevent many diseases and defects. We do not believe in blind luck; each of our breeding dogs has a set of tests that are described for each dog. We have a series of health requirements for the sires we use to breed our dogs. We have extensive knowledge about dog nutrition and are happy to assist in selecting the appropriate diet for the dogs from our breeding, including fully balanced barf or bacfu.

Cultivating breed activity

Miniature American Shepherds and previously Australian Shepherds (American type) were working dogs, thus we nurture their breed traits through herding training and herding tests, as well as general activity and their innate gift for quick learning and eagerness to work in dog sports. Our shepherds are not lap dogs - they are cheerful, active, eager to cooperate with humans, and focused on working with them. We concentrate on the dog's psyche and its predispositions and capabilities, not just on a pretty coat; the dog must primarily possess working traits and a good psyche that will allow for a harmonious life with humans and participation in work and sports where the dog will feel comfortable. Those looking for a dog for shared activities have come to the right place!

Responsible selection of a puppy for the home

In our breeding, you will not reserve a specific puppy right after its birth just based on color.

Puppies will be observed from the first day of life, and around the 6th week, tests will be conducted to help select the right home for each puppy. We do not reserve puppies solely based on color or general appearance. A dog is a combination of visual and mental components, and it deserves the best home for its capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses. We live with a dog for many years, and it must be wisely and responsibly matched to the individual. Therefore, we have a questionnaire system in place. Of course, everyone has a vision of a dog and an aesthetic, and we understand that, but it cannot be the only criterion for purchasing a puppy from our breeding according to our philosophy. Tell us about your dreams, and we will do our best to make them come true responsibly; we are confident that you will be delighted!

Socialization, habituation, and early neurological stimulation of puppies as a standard

We have a specific plan for the socialization and habituation of puppies, which will ensure that the puppies from our breeding will be open, curious little ones familiarized with many elements they will encounter in their lives. Gradually, in line with their development, we will introduce the puppies to the world, getting them used to traveling by car, grooming, and care. The puppies will have access to a playground equipped with hanging elements, crinkly items, various surfaces, and a set of socialization toys to support the puppies' motor skills: a platform, a rocker, a platform, a swing, a bridge, a balance beam, and a ladder. Playtime on the playground will always be under full supervision.

All puppies will be included in the early neurological stimulation program, which will enhance their tolerance to stress and should provide them with better physical and mental resilience.

KNOWLEDGE - TRAINING

Breeding purebred dogs is a huge responsibility, which is why before deciding to embark on this path, I participated in many stationary and online training sessions for several years.

The most important stage was participating in 2021 in a course for breeders organized by the Rzeszów branch of ZKwP. The course lasted three months, included over 50 hours of learning, and covered topics such as the history of ZKwP, genetics, anatomy and physiology, reproduction, dog psychology, zoopsychology, behaviorism, puppy rearing, early stimulation, and socialization. The list of lecturers is extremely long: Anna Redlicka, Agnieszka Łyp-Chmielewska from Psiparagraf.pl, Anna Rogowska, Agnieszka Andrearczyk - Woźniakowska, Gizela Makarewicz, Jolanta Marcinkiewicz, Damian Kotela, Katarzyna Adamus-Fiszer, Katarzyna Bargiełowska, Marcin Lichnierowicz, Mirosław Redlicki, and Wojciech Kinda.

This series of training sessions was the foundation and basis for further development in breeding. Previously, I was personally interested in dog nutrition, and to this day, it remains one of my favorite topics to which I gladly dedicate my free time, and since it is a rapidly developing field of science, it is worth keeping an eye on it.

The number of completed trainings continues to grow, and in the gallery next to this text, you can familiarize yourself with the trainings for which the organizer issues a certificate. We invite you to check out this long list.

Triss- Kelemenki (FCI) KEEP AN EYE ON YOU

Bitch founder

Born on May 2, 2024, at the Polish kennel KELEMENKI (FCI) in a litter of 3 puppies from the dam Trails Ends Rowan and the sire Blue Elk's High Voltage.

Triss, jokingly referred to as a "surprise baby," was not planned at that time, but as soon as I saw the photo shared on the Kelemenki kennel's Facebook, my heart skipped a beat, and I immediately wrote to the breeder asking for more information about the female dog. I casually came to see her in person and fell in love. For over 5 years, I had been observing miniature American shepherds in Poland and neighboring countries, but I thought it wasn't yet time for my own MAS - their quality was very uneven at that time, and I believed it would be better to wait for stabilization.
When I noticed Triss's photo at the kennel, I was slowly thinking about returning to the topic since the breed's population had improved and stabilized, but I was more anticipating the years 2025-2026. But the heart does not listen.

Triss is a crazy, very energetic, brave girl who is completely unfazed by any negative aspect at the moment. She handles repetitive tasks very well, never refuses to cooperate even when rolling a single topic multiple times, and her driving force is food. She is also very eager to play and tug, but it is easiest to train her with treats, or rather in this case with meals, as the amount of treats cannot be too large percentage-wise daily, and Triss loves to work and demands it. I am glad she came to me where she always has plenty to do; surely, at home where she wouldn't have activities, it would be difficult for her; she is a little torpedo with a million ideas per minute.

Triss is very expressive in her affections; when she greets, she does so with her whole being and loves to give kisses (even from a distance) and... lick ears. However, if she doesn't like someone, she will express her opinion, although she is absolutely not aggressive.
